To be inspiring, we have to find things that we really want to answer, and then help people find the tools to answer those questions. This poor kid seems totally bored and uninterested in these experiments, because they don't really relate to his life or the things he wants to understand. I think this is the primary problem with many scientists and even teachers, failing to pay attention to what others want to learn, and how they want to learn it.
For your information, this kid (re)discovered a lot of interesting stuff (some including simple math and physics facts) by play, by being curious and passionate. He learned to read and listen in English (not his native language) by himself, by reading and watching online videos. He may seem a little shy, not bored, but now is the first time he speaks English, and he formulated most of the phrases in this video, without a script. I think your comment is unfair both to him, and to physicists in general.

It is especially remarkable that this came from a 9 year old boy, and I can believe that he learned or devised most of it himself - through his own playful explorations - or by asking questions of the learned adults around him. It seems from the comments above, Victor, that you are a living example of what I talk about in my essay on the value of play, or what Joseph Chilton Pearce calls the Magical Child. The portion of the video about things that need to be rotated twice sounds more like a son trying to spout his father's wisdom, but the cup trick was particularly impressive.

Several of the tricks with cups were impressive, Victor. Keep practicing, and make every trick as smooth as silk, until you get to be like Professor Sprott - whom I imagine can do Physics demonstrations in his sleep!
