Lauren,

Thank you for your fast-paced historical vignette about Galvani and Volta, with a fun narration and nice illustrations. Good luck in this contest!

P.S. If you have a chance to view, comment and vote on my trilogy of videos entitled "This Is Physics" --- where I try to convey the "fun of physics" by focusing on some of the greatest moments of its history --- it would be quite appreciated. Only one week left to vote! (Don't forget just before voting to enter the video creator code FQXi sent you, so your vote properly registers in the community category.)

Hi Lauren,

I enjoyed this video. It is well-written, concise, and effectively communicates the story, all with good narration. Good job with the graphics too!

If you would check out my video, "The Cool Physics of Refrigeration," and leave a rating, that would be awesome.

Thanks,

David

Lauren,

I loved your movie about Count Volta. To make a dead frog move its legs, and to invent batteries, this is something. I hope you you will watch and rate my video too!

A universe in a cup of water.

Hi Lauren,

your video was great: the editing, the narration, the animation, the pacing, the sound effects and especially how they all worked really well together. I think the format and style you chose has great potential and you should keep up the good work! I'm sure I won't forget Count Volta's legacy and make a mental note for him next to Count Chocula (although he is supposed to be related to Edison more than to a chocoate cereal (; ). It was great to see how Volta got rid of the "animal" part in energy and brought us all a big step closer to modern physics.

I hope you will make it to finalists, which is why Nidahl and I will vote for you! Since we all need at least 10 community votes it would be great if we could support each other to share our knowledge and passion for physics. Please check out our video and give us your feedback and rating, if you like. That would be amazing! Our video is also related to electricity and actually batteries if you think of it. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did yours.

Best luck of luck for you,

Madeleine

Piezoelectritcity: A Love Stroy

This video can't help but make me smile. I love the fast-paced, excited narration. And to be fair, I didn't know that much about Count Volta. You learn something new every day!

By the way, it would be really wonderful if you could take a look at our video "What is Supersymmetry?" and rate it. We would appreciate it immensely.

That was wonderful Lauren!

I love your excitement too, but I think there are a few places you could slow down or pace yourself in the narration a bit to make a point. I try to keep things moving in my video Can the Mandelbrot Set help us understand the Cosmos?, but I also pause for effect sometimes. I hope more people find your wonderful short video, while there is still time to vote.

All the Best,

Jonathan
