Video Description

Physics has narrowed down every event in our universe to a combination of four fundamental forces. The way we did this was by seeing what seemed like two phenomena as simply two sides of the same phenomenon, as with electromagnetism. This understanding help spur the development of our modern world, from the use of electric generators in nuclear energy generation to electric guitars. The amount of fun now possible due to today's understanding of physics is incredible! Thank a physicist (any physicist) next time you ride a ski lift or attend a kick butt concert.

I am a Physics Undergrad at UMass Amherst as well as a musician and general proponent of using science to inform any personal religious beliefs.

A bit too scripted and delivered in a monotone. Could use some graphics. Also the music drowns out the speaking at times and is a bit distracting.

Nicely done. Very natural. And a good guitar piece. Voted it up.

Here's my Higgs Geometry video if you can have a look.

It's tricky to present the mathematics of symmetry breaking and particle physics to a popular audience, so I do appreciate feedback on it.

Nice job of rounding things up and thanks also to Sophia for adding "umph" to the electric part!

If you get a moment, please vote on our 2 short videos. We would really appreciate it!

Dear Mr. Rose,

Nicely done summary of our fundamental forces together with some good musicianship. While you're thanking physicists for our toys --- thank some engineers also :) .

Best of luck for the competition.

If you have an opportunity I'd appreciate a revue of my entry (next door to you in the alphabetical list

Best,

Hi Jacob!

Great video! I being a math/philosophy student myself, I really loved how you pulled everything together at the end, and made the point that it's all about asking the questions and keeping our minds open to discovering new things. It's a great message and I hope it gets people thinking about how much there is to think about!

My dear friend James Walsh and I also made a video. It's called Never Bored. We welcome you to visit, vote, and join the conversation on our page, if you have the time and inclination.

Thanks for sharing your insights, and the excellent musical talents of you and your friend!
