I do agree:

From quantum to classical to general relativity, all processes exist together.

Physics seeks laws and fundamental constants e.g. Planck's, that are independent of the observer and maintain the dynamics of the Universe and the life within it.

These Laws and Constant would be the same for any observer from any Universe.

I do agree and I also have calculated relations in universe ussing Planck scale and opposites:

It was an interesting read. To me 'Fundamental'is akin to 'illusion' from the point humanity has so far succeeded in unraveling the mysteries of the Nature . I do agree that 'Fundamental' is multilayered concept. Search for 'Singular Fundamental' may not be successful in basic sciences and one may have to bank on Psychology / Philosophy.

Dynamic Universe Model says that the energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation passing grazingly near any gravitating mass changes its in frequency and finally will convert into neutrinos (mass). It is so close to me. «the entanglement is the interconnectedness». «These deserve to be called the fundamental(s) in a restricted sense but the nonlinearity and gravity at their own scales have their effects. A unifying fundamental thread, field or matter yet may be discovered till then it will be 'fundamentals'. However probable the reality may seem, physics seeks laws and fundamental constants e.g. Planck's, that are independent of observer and maintain the dynamics of Universe and life within it. Hello Alok,

Your title effectively divides the participants in this essay contest into two camps.

You quickly come to the same conclusion that I have; that a singular, all-embracing fundamental is sought in the FQXi essay contest theme. Otherwise the theme would be framed What ARE Fundamental?

The popular notion of an expanding universe in the absence of any accounting for what is beyond requires to be redefined in order to reconcile the term 'Uni' with the concept of a single 'Universe' that is infinite. What many scientists refer to as the 'Universe' is simply the perceptible portion of the 'universe of all there is' that goes on forever.

The so-called Big Bang was merely the evolution of a small bubble in a universe of infinite dimensions in space and time.

Mathematic cannot be the ultimate fundamental for no better reason than is was developed by mankind for use to his advantage and does not account for anything in the universe before mankind.

With reference to gravity I suspect that science is going to come into general accord in recognition that gravity is not as fundamental as currently believed. It is an effect caused by the pressure of vacuum, the predominant constituent of the cosmos.

The only reality that facilitates all that is going on and without which nothing would be going on - is 'Existence', the ultimate Fundamental. Check it out. itsinmybook.com.
