Essay Abstract

Decidability, computability and predictability are related to Realism and undecidability, uncomputability and unpredictability are related to Anti-realism. In physics, Newtonian Mechanics is based on decidability (certainty), while Quantum Mechanics is based on undecidability (uncertainty). As at present, it is not known whether Physical Reality is Newtonian or Quantum mechanical. Here I argue that Physical Reality will eventually be recognized as Newtonian, and hence the three pillars of Anti-realism will not have any role in it.

After graduation, I worked in a different field, and years after, returned to science as an alternate theorist. In physics, I propose 'Finiteness Theory' - a finite universe that remains pulsating due to actual motion of its individual units; motion at speed 'c' is a property of matter and force exists as reaction to motion, making energy and force finite. In physics related biology, I propose 'Deterministic Evolution' from inorganic compounds to self-conscious beings; the evolution reaches its zenith close to halfway of the expanding phase, and there after, a gradual devolution back to inorganic compounds.

Jose,

''Are the conclusions arrived in this paper true?'' NO! "True" is a notion of logic, and logic is too meagre a method of reasoning to deal with greater unities or even the whole. Already Aristotle admitted that the principle of contradiction-noncontradiction is superior to (his) affirmative logic. And then there are also Godel and Tarski in the way. From the point of the principle of non-contradiction your question would need be rephrased in an a priori (not pragmatic!) sense as: Does what has been described/concluded work? or: Does it make observable beyond what is already observed? I don't think it does.

Despite this criticism I find your essay very well written, for it allows me to follow your ideas step by step thus enabling me to see not only your arguments, but also the assumptions you make and what you mean by notions as e.g. 'existence' or 'real'.

P.S. As regards Newton's theory I think of it in the sense of Heisenberg's "finalized theories", which by adding or removing anything from them can only become false. The reason is that a theory is not a model that can be fiddled until it fits. Also, I don't think that the universe is knitted such that one size (TOE) fits all.

Wow.

Our theories are very similar. Where you say "realism" My STOE says "physics". Where you say "anti-realism" the STOE says math. The STOE adds the proposition that the Scalar Theory of Everything (STOE) principles should also apply to life and societies.

I am interested in your Newtnian models as the STOE seems to be what you propose. However, the STOE model of light follows Newton (Your does not) of an analogy of a rock in water, the waves of water (ether) direct the photon. The advantage of the STOE model is that there are many experiments that reject wave models of light that are successfully simulated with the STOE model. Further, the STOE model calculates a theoretical CMB temperature a few microkelvin from the measured value. Hence, the universal equation and the Stoe model of the universe has supporting evidence by experiment that reject other models. It has also made predictions which later were found.

Dear Jose Koshy, your essay has impressed me. Of course, there are always details that can be disputed. But in general your essay shows the intention to get certainty over the various concepts - used in physics - with the help of reasoning. And I agree with you, physics - in relation to the nature of reality - is about the right concept. I hope that all your readers have the same positive opinion.

Dear Jose Koshy,

It appeared to me that you are almost satisfied with Newtonian Gravitation from your words...." Newtonian mechanics is based on the certainty of the properties of matter. Based on it, the physical world is real; decidability, computability and predictability are its characteristics. But as a theory, Newtonian mechanics is incomplete. It states that bodies have mass and volume, can remain in motion, have gravity (force) and gravity can cause changes in motion."

And you got some doubts....

"1. But it does not say from where bodies acquire motion,"

........... It is just Gravitational attraction forces between bodies(masses), force creates acceleration. Dynamic Universe Model explains that there is a resultant vector force that acts on all bodies and pulls them into motion. The Universe is in Dynamic Equilibrium.

There is nothing to stop the motion, so all bodies will move to the equilibrium...........

Now for the 2. Why motion and gravity are related"

......................... Due to Gravitational attraction the bodies will tend to come near to each other. Just like positive negative charges attract each other try to come near to each other. So this attraction causes motion...............

I request you to please see Dynamic Universe model for all such questions and many of the fundamental and foundational questions about this model are explained in my essay, in addition, I just elaborated what should be the freedom available to an author when the "real open thinking" is supported and what I got from this Dynamic Universe Model..............Have a look at my essay please.

Dear Jose,

Glad to read your work again.

I greatly appreciated your work and discussion. I am very glad that you are not thinking in abstract patterns.

While the discussion lasted, I wrote an article: "Practical guidance on calculating resonant frequencies at four levels of diagnosis and inactivation of COVID-19 coronavirus", due to the high relevance of this topic. The work is based on the practical solution of problems in quantum mechanics, presented in the essay FQXi 2019-2020 "Universal quantum laws of the universe to solve the problems of unsolvability, computability and unpredictability".

I hope that my modest results of work will provide you with information for thought.

Warm Regards, `

Dear Jose P Koshy,

Thank you for your essay. I would agree that the universe is real but I would say undecidability, uncomputability and unpredictability are its characteristics. In that yes, certain things are very predictable and computable however the system as a whole is never completely predictable. There is always an outlaying unknown that makes our system inherently unpredictable.
