Essay Abstract

I wonder if a Gödelian Physical Theory of everything can be finally formulated to describe an objective reality outside ourselves, to clarify how nature works in various level of material world, from simple ingredients (quarks, gluons, etc.) up to complex adaptive system, to Human Behavior and finally to conscious awareness? But do we put the right Question, or we might put another one that will result in a more helpful answer?

Dear Basileios,

A very interesting, important and deep philosophical essay and questions. It makes thinking "dig" with a very sharp "Occam's razor" to the most distant meaningful depths. Only two questions: Do you agree with this An Open Letter to the Scientific Community and the conclusions of Cardo Rovelli in the article Physics Needs Philosophy / Philosophy Needs Physics ?

With kind regards, Vladimir

    Dear Vladimir

Thanks for your kind words, I am glad you found something of value in my essay. Thank you for the very interesting article of Carlo Rovelli, he is one of my favorite authors. I recommend his nice book " The first scientist Anaximander and his Legacy ". About the funding of various scientific research and especially the Cosmology, this is a very difficult question. I realize that the leading aspect of Cosmology is the Big Bang and the scientific community is focus on this aspect. Remember although, that the best theater plays are not performed on-Broadway but on the off-Broadway scenes. Someday, shy, poor and forgotten scientists shall come with brilliant ideas that revolutionaries the whole aspect of contemporary physics and not only the Cosmology. This, as everybody knows very well happened many times in the past. As for today, it is difficult to decide with whom to go and whom to leave. I myself have some daydreams ideas about the creation of Cosmos, but it is useless to pay a dime for these and sometimes I feel I spend my time on these.

I read your essay, and it needs a further attention; I'm looking forward to engage with it this weekend. After my first quick reading, I think your essay is an excellent one and deserves the highest score.

    Dear Dr. BASILEIOS GRISPOS,

I am also an electrical engineer, retired from Bhilai Steel Plant in 2014.

I liked your excellent essay! You discussed very nicely as a chaotic discussion between Laplace Demon and Maxwell demon. The first part is very interesting and deep. Some of your nice words are....The difference between classical Physics and Quantum Mechanics reminds me of the difference between a chess Grand Master and a novice chess player. For the novice everything is sound and clear but to the Master everything is Undecidable, Uncomputable, and Unpredictable.........

I got some question why quantum mechanics is not able to explain fully all the experimental results? Why particle behaviors are different from particle behaviors? What are real contributing factors....???

Some of the Cosmological factors are covered in Dynamic Universe model ... have look at my essay "A properly deciding, Computing and Predicting new theory's Philosophy " please...

      Dear Dr.Gupta

Thank you very much for your comments. You mentioned some phrases from my essay, some nice words as you call them, and I thank you very much for this, it is so sweet. I tried to present my ideas as light as possible but not lighter. The question posed this time by the Institute is very difficult to answer, and I don't think I am the right person to do it properly, only to outline some of my ideas and provoke some thoughts.

I had marked already your essay and I am going to read it during this weekend, next week I shall put some comments on it.

I mentioned that you have already put a comment in almost every essay of this contest and this is very kind of you. I think this is the right thing every participant has to do, that is read all the essays and judge them accordingly. It is unfair to pick up essays at random or those of your friends or colleagues and ignore the rest. As for myself I work full time as an engineer and my time is very limited to read all the essay up to 18th of May, but I try for the best, and I wonder, in case I have not read all the essays before the deadline rating, do I have the right to rate only the essays I have read so far or not?

I also mentioned that somebody put one (1) rate w/o any comment in almost every new entry and this is ridiculous. I think the institute must take some action.

      Dear Dr Basileios Grispos ,

Thank you for nice post on my essay. I felt very happy that you also dont like Bigbang based cosmologies... There are many problems in it and they dont accept. I liked your essay and I gave an excellent rating to your essay,

      Dear Dr. Gupta

Thank you very much for your kind remarks and for your time you spend to read my essay. I like your essay as well and it gave me many ideas how to proceed in some thoughts I have about Cosmology and the creation of Cosmos. I also like the notion of Darwinian Cosmology, which Ι found very attractive. There are in the literature a lot of interesting papers on this subject.

I read your very interesting essay and I have two questions:

      1. Do you think that the Big Bang Hypothesis is the right one or not. Are you a strong opponent or a supporter of this theory ?

      2. Are you against or not of Deterministic theory of reality, because I think you leave enough room for Determinism

      I wish you good luck

      Ed Levi

      Dear Ed

Thank you very much for your kind words. About your questions, I think my views are clear in my essay about the subjects you mentioned but I will try to be as clear as possible and here are my answers.

      1. One Bang happened 13.6 yrs ago and this is an observational fact, but if this is the beginning of Cosmos I doubt strongly.

      2. Everybody prefers determinism rather than the free will of the electron but the hidden variables are very much hidden and we can do nothing about this for the moment, therefore we have to accept the indeterminacy that Quantum mechanics impose,

I have already read your essay and it is really very good.

I am an amateur astronomy, I have in my backyard a Telescope and I gaze the stars frequently, I also like to read popularized books about Cosmology and the Big Bang model. I read in your excellent essay that you are against this theory. I realize that a theory like this one gives room for speculation to soothsayers and charlatans but what alternative do we have?

      Good luck to your essay

      Dear Ed and Jim

You are perfectly right Big bang Cosmology and Quantum Mechanics are like fairy tails and justify the mysticism of certain people butthe scientists must do their duty and search for the truth. Υοu cannot dismiss astronomy because of astrology.

      Dear Basileios,

I enjoyed your most entertaining essay.

I also included the two demons in my essaywhich I hope you will read. We also have some common ground in Norse mythology.

      All the best,

      Lockie Cresswell

      Dear Lockie

Thank you very much you took the time to read my essay and your kind words. It seems that in this contest too many demons appeared. I had marked already your essay and I am going to read it soon and I shall put some comments on it.

      Dear Basileios Grispos,

I greatly appreciated your work and discussion. I am very glad that you are not thinking in abstract patterns.

"I wonder if a Gödelian Physical Theory of everything can be finally formulated to describe an objective reality outside ourselves, to clarify how nature works in various level of material world, from simple ingredients (quarks, gluons, etc.) up to complex adaptive system, to Human Behavior and finally to conscious awareness? "People realize that Pythia's years are over, and the oracles of Delphi are bygones. Nowadays they try to unveil the future with scientific theories using mathematical symbols, and notations. Deterministic interpretation is their only hope. People believe what it makes them feel good, they cannot accept the incomplete knowledge of reality, even if they suspect that this may be true. They think of me therefore I exist".

While the discussion lasted, I wrote an article: "Practical guidance on calculating resonant frequencies at four levels of diagnosis and inactivation of COVID-19 coronavirus", due to the high relevance of this topic. The work is based on the practical solution of problems in quantum mechanics, presented in the essay FQXi 2019-2020 "Universal quantum laws of the universe to solve the problems of unsolvability, computability and unpredictability".

I hope that my modest results of work will provide you with information for thought.

      Warm Regards, `

      Vladimir

      Kudos Basileos,

While I am not sure the results of a battle between the two demons would be so clear cut; I am happy to have read your account. Sometimes, as with the flocking of birds, there is an underlying rule that is very simple, such as maintaining a specific range of proximity, which will reproduce complex behaviors in simulations of flocks. There is a book I liked "The Hidden Dimension" that talks about perceived closeness or distance and the perceived need for specific amounts of personal space, in humans and animals.

I won't try to argue against chaos theory. If you read my essay; you'll see why. But I will tell you that I am one of those guys who thinks a LOT about questions like 'what happened at or before the first instant?', and 'why does creation (cosmic evolution) proceed toward something like what we see today?' I am reminded of a lecture by Lee Smolin, and a brief conversation afterward, where he talked about Energetic Causal Sets, which seems about the simplest Physics answer to the question.

You might like to hear about a tale from ancient Egypt. Perhaps the oldest epic poem in existence is a little-known story called Hekau or 'the utterance.' It begins "Hekau, anook puuh, Khephr naah" transliterated from the sound as told by Halim El Dabh. This roughly translates as 'the utterance is the origin story of Khephra.' The moral of the story is that the Divine needed to create its own form first, before material creation could commence. In my mind; this is Math before Physics, but it's also like the fireball knowing the laws of nature, in order to create our reality.

      All the Best,

      Jonathan

      Dear Jonathan

thank you very much you read my essay and your very interesting comments you wrote about it. I am very much obliged for the valuable information you gave me about ancient Egypt. It must be a very interesting story how the divine structure forms its own image before the creation of anything else.
