Essay Abstract: Consciousness is the elemental solver of contradictions, conflicting theories, unknowns and perhaps unknowables (with transition to new levels of consciousness.) The essential essence of life and consciousness on Earth came from outer space. And has evolved to thrive with Earth's changing environment. The process that started conscious life on Earth can bring an end to our search for resolution of all unknowns in our solar system.

Author Bio Sherman Jenkins studied Mathematics and Physics at the University of Missouri at Rolla, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of California. He has submitted four FQXI essays including for the first FQXI contest on, "The Nature of Time." That essay shared a vacuum structure that reveals the origin of time, the Higgs field, and answers many questions including the source of alpha.

I Like the ideas the idea encapsulated within the very first sections of your essay, but the energy, complexity, and information needed for the creation and evolution of life need not come from the outside or external to the Earth; all the necessary elements, ingredients, and energy were available on and within the Earth itself.

But prokaryotic bacteria and viruses were indeed the first forms of life

True the Earth was an excellent environment for life to develop. My point in this regard is that small segments of life's blueprint's fall on the Earth constantly. And likewise are falling on planets throughout the Universe.

The true is that instead of tiny particulates sprinkled on the surface of the Earth, there would have been vast reservoirs of the necessary ingredients oozing from deep within the planet itself.

Such that biological Life in the universe can only emerge from very active energy rich celestial objects, and not from objects that are long dead, stagnant, and frozen, like comets and meteorites.

I agree. These dust sized "memory sticks" are not living and only contain short random segments of biological code from perhaps a billion light years distance which are collected and passed up the evolutionary ladder by Earth's natural gene editing "CRISPR" team of bacteria, virus and other minute life forms.

I would say:

Among the early evolved forms of life were viruses and bacteria.

Because these days, regarding the pandemic, I've heard the following about viruses:

Viruses are not living organisms;

Viruses are a transitional form between living and non-living;

Viruses are living organisms.

My conclusion is that life is constantly emerging through extremely slow processes, wherever possible. It can also be transmitted (panspermia).

I greatly appreciated your work and discussion. I am very glad that you are not thinking in abstract patterns.

"COVID-19 may transfer little or nil information to thecollective human family via genetic material but it will certainly alter the collectiveconsciousness".

While the discussion lasted, I wrote an article: "Practical guidance on calculating resonant frequencies at four levels of diagnosis and inactivation of COVID-19 coronavirus", due to the high relevance of this topic. The work is based on the practical solution of problems in quantum mechanics, presented in the essay FQXi 2019-2020 "Universal quantum laws of the universe to solve the problems of unsolvability, computability and unpredictability".

I agree with聽your basic approach.聽 The Universe is composed of one fundamental substance-charge.聽 Higgs charge.聽 This charge fills the Universe and is under tremendous pressure.聽 In聽response聽to the pressure the charge assumes a pattern of motion in sync with all surrounding charge.聽 This pattern of motion you may call a vortex.聽 Synonymous with the Higgs field this charge in motion has mass.聽 Dark Matter,聽 Mass that we do not normally notice as there is equal amounts in all directions; but it does compress a bit in response聽to concentrated energy (seen as displaced bits of charge=normal mater.)聽聽聽
