i'm not against AI , still , i would evaluate/rate/ accentuate a little bit higher the social-selforganisation flexibility potential ( or smoothly reorganize (multiple times), including media and other actors, this is not excluding going to a more conservative situation)

Dear AmaranthLion SMOOTHLY is indeed the word, but this generation (I am older) is moving from one hype to another. It is just as with the climate problems if we all had smoothly reacted together in the 60ies and 70ties, then we wouldn't have to PUSH everybody to new heating and electric cars. But then we were called people in goat wool socks.

Wilhelmus de Wilde Hello, ChartreuseMockingbird.
This is the sort of quality article I would expect for a contest like this. Lots of material and ideas, many convincing observations and proposals. Good that you address AI, which will transform society and science in many was in coming decades. I like your concern for social inequities and other large-scale ethical issues. I like to see citations, but they aren't required here. Also would you (and anyone reading this) please take a look at my essay too, which attempts to disprove AI reductionism about minds. I use both a philosophical argument about existential knowledge (a sort of update of Descartes famous experiment) plus inferences from quantum mechanics. Thanks, and rem. again: this is the last day to rate and discuss!

Wilhelmus de Wilde Props to you for such a considerate, thoughtful, and meaty reply to a member ? esp. one who is not in current competition.

Dear PersimmonCatshark, The FQxI site is not easy...(for me). I tried to find your essay yesterday, but didn't succeed. Sorry for that. Can you give me the title ? The rating may be finished but I think the liking may be not...
