I feel like I should add a bit of context.
There are many ways in which science could be different. Although there is some debate in recent years weather research should start first with a hypothesis or with a data set, I'm not touching on the scientific method itself or the ways we gather data or validate hypotheses. While this is a valid debate I feel like there is a grater and more immediate bottleneck to our scientific advancement. This essay addresses the very practical way in which we do science and argues there is a lot of room for improvement.
