This topic addresses the issues of time. What is time? And the question of the direction of time.
I have solutions to these issues, these problems. These solutions are given in my book “The Theory of Nature”.
But these are not isolated problems. They are interconnected with each other and with other fundamental problems of nature, its structure and its evolution.
Within the framework of my “Theory of Nature” (TN), other (more than 40 in total) fundamental problems of physics and cosmogony (cosmology) are also solved.
These are interconnected problems.
Within the framework of TN, the problem of objective reality, the problem of nature, the problem of the algorithm of the evolution of nature (and the Universe), the problem of time and the problem of space, the problem of the crisis in modern physics, in modern natural science are solved.

In my reasoning I start from NATURE.
I understand that there is, there exists NATURE. This is primary.
And NATURE is fundamentally material and dialectical. This is the main thing, this is important, this is essential.
And physics is a science that studies nature. The basis of studying nature and its laws within the framework of physics is experiment, experience, practice (experimental physics), which are then subjected to analytical, theoretical processing and comprehension (theoretical physics).
Thus, physics, the theory of modern physics (TMP) is a synthesis of experimental and theoretical physics.
The TMP includes the general theory of relativity (GTR), the Standard Model of elementary particles (SMEP), and the Big Bang theory (cosmology, space physics).
Next.
Nature is an objective reality that exists outside of our consciousness and independently of our consciousness.
Nature absolutely exists.
Nature cannot not exist.
Nature exists without relation to anything or anyone.
Nature is self-existent.
Nature exists on its own and evolves according to its own laws and logic.
There is no external observer of nature.
Everything that surrounds us and we ourselves belong to nature and exist in nature.
There is nothing and no one in the world around us that does not belong to nature.
Nature is fundamentally material and dialectical.
The materiality of nature means that all bodies, objects, and items in nature are fundamentally material.
The dialectic nature of nature means that everything in nature is in motion, in displacement, in development, in evolution. And nature itself is in constant evolution.
The universe is the largest material object in nature.
Elementary particles are the smallest material bodies in nature.
The matter of nature is the primary principle, the primordial essence, the origin and the first cause of “everything and everyone” in nature.
Matter is the unique and only substance of nature.
Matter is the active agent of nature.
The content of elementary particles is the “pure” concrete matter of nature.
At the basis of all elementary particles lies a quantum of matter, the material “first building block” of the universe.
A quantum of matter is a minimal and quite definite quantity of matter in nature. And this matter (as primary!) generates a material body of quantum of matter (secondary!).
The quantum of matter, as the minimum portion of matter in nature (EUM), is primary.
A quantum of matter, as a material body (QM), is secondary.
We will identify these concepts: QM = EUM. This is an organic inseparable unity, when the content (EUM) forms a material body (QM). This is a unique law of nature. The form and content of a quantum of matter (QM) constitute a single organic indivisible whole (QM = EUM)!
A quantum of matter is not a solidified, motionless, static material solid like volcanic magma.
A quantum of matter is material flesh pulsating in the rhythm and tempo of nature.
Pulsation of quantum of matter (QM) is the internal movement of matter (quantum of matter, EUM).
Pulsation of a quantum of matter (QM) is a strictly periodic, harmonic process.
The frequency of this pulsation process is characterized by a unique constant of nature (and the Universe) UCN.
This integer constant (UCN) is defined within the framework of the author's “Theory of Nature” (TN). It is equal to the numerical value:
UCN=1,210 256∙10^{44}. This is an approximate value. Its first 7 digits are precisely determined. Its exact value (all 45 digits) is yet to be determined.
UCN is a unique and universal constant of nature and the Universe.
UCN defines the natural frequency, what I call the rhythm and tempo of nature.
The pulsation (oscillation) of a quantum of matter occurs at this frequency.
During a natural unit of natural time (NUT) there are UCN cycles of pulsation of a quantum of matter.
Frequency and time are mutually inverse quantities.
One pulsation cycle of a quantum of matter occurs in a time equal to NUT/UCN. If NUT=1, then this will be a time equal to 1/UCN=UCN^{-1}. This time is a quantum of time: EUT=UCN^{-1}.
Time in nature, when considering the pulsation of a quantum of matter, can be measured only and solely by the quantity of matter (EUM) of a quantum of matter (QM). Therefore, the numerical values of a quantum of matter ( EUM) and a quantum of time (EUT) are equal to: EUT = EUM.
Moreover, both the time of nature and the matter of nature are two of the most important entities of nature. They are different entities, but they are so organically tightly and closely connected with each other that we must (in a certain sense!!) consider them identical entities: “time = matter”, “quantum of time = quantum of matter”, “EUT = EUM”. Time is determined and measured by matter.
Moreover, matter is a universal measure of nature, a measure of “everything and everyone” in nature, and not just time.
In the article “Nature as an Objective Reality” (https://philpapers.org/rec/YUSNAA) the answer to the question “What is NATURE?” is given. This is a completely and fully dialectical-materialistic answer. It corresponds to the fact that nature is fundamentally material and dialectical, and it confirms this fact.
The same article presents a diagram of the algorithm of evolution of nature and the Universe. Evolution of nature is a sequence (row) of evolutions of universes. Evolution of the universe is one step (cycle) of evolution of nature.
The evolution of nature has neither beginning nor end. It is an infinite process in time. It is the only infinity in nature. Behind the process of evolution of nature (and the Universe) there is an infinite process of functioning of the Singularity, which is the reason for the infinite existence of nature. Singularity is a special area of nature or a special mechanism of nature. There is no other infinity (except for the process of functioning of the Singularity) in nature, it does not exist. Any other infinity is a “bad”, non-constructive infinity. And nature is not stupid!
The evolution of the Universe is also not an endless process.
The process of the Singularity functioning is a strictly periodic, harmonic process. It is this process that sets and determines the rhythm and tempo of nature. This process also occurs with a frequency of UCN cycles per 1 NUT.
During one cycle of operation, the Singularity emits UCN quanta of matter (QM = EUM) into the surrounding vacuum in UCN directions.
All matter emitted by the Singularity goes towards the construction of the Universe.
The amount of matter emitted by the Singularity is the only fundamental primary characteristic of the evolution of the Universe.
Other important characteristics of the Universe, such as the quantum of length, the quantum of mass, the maximum speed in the Universe (in nature), the gravitational value of the Universe, are functions of the only fundamental primary characteristic of the Universe – the amount of matter present in the Universe.
The total amount of matter in the Universe by the time the evolution of the Universe is complete will be UCN3 quanta of matter (EUM) or UCN2 natural units of matter (NUM).
Within the framework of the “Theory of Nature” the total time of the evolution of nature is determined to be approximately 2,799∙10^{34} years. This is equivalent to UCN NUT.
Within the framework of the TN, the current age of the Universe is also determined to be 124 trillion 666 billion 537 million 511 thousand years.
Within the framework of the TN, the question (problem) about the relationship between the time units 1 NUT and 1 s was resolved:
1 NUT = alpha s; 1 s = alpha ^ {-1} NUT,
where alpha is a physical quantity, the fine structure constant.
Within the framework of the TN, the problem of the fine structure constant was also solved.
Within the framework of TN, the question of the space of nature has been resolved. This is a negative solution. No space in nature, as such, as some natural entity, exists. The assumption of the opposite, that is, the possibility of the existence of space in nature, imposes on nature itself such demands that even it cannot bear, which require the infinity of nature in all respects. And these will be “bad” infinities. But nature is not stupid! There is only one infinity in nature – this is the infinite evolution of nature in time.
The assumption of the existence of space in nature presupposes a solution to the question of how space is located in relation to nature and the Universe. Both nature and the Universe are receptacles for all material bodies, “everything and everyone” in nature. But then space is completely superfluous.
They may say, object, that space carries a metric (length). But within the framework of TN, the problem of the existence of elementary units of nature (time, length, mass) and their material carrier is solved. The material standard carrier of elementary units of nature is a grain of matter. A grain of matter is a material carrier of a quantum of matter, a quantum of time, a quantum of length, a quantum of mass. The diameter of a grain of matter determines a quantum of length, as an elementary natural length. So in this respect (the problem of metrics) space is superfluous in nature.
In total, within the framework of the “Theory of Nature”, more than 40 fundamental problems of the foundations of physics and cosmogony (cosmology) have been solved. And each solved fundamental problem is worthy of the Nobel Prize. Each solved fundamental problem is also a fundamental problem of the foundations of nature and the universe. And the fundamental problem of the specific representation of matter in nature is also a solution to the fundamental problem of philosophy, the philosophy of dialectical materialism.
TN is the foundation of dialectical-materialistic physics.
TN is a scientific revolution in physics and cosmogony (cosmology).
The year 2014 should be considered the year of this scientific Revolution.
The philosophical core of TN is the only true and scientific philosophy of dialectical materialism.
Within the framework of the TN, the problem of the contemporary acute long-term fundamental systemic crisis in physics and in general natural science has also been solved. First of all, this crisis is an ideological crisis.
It is no secret that the philosophical core of the theory of modern physics (TMP) is a fundamentally false and deeply anti-scientific bourgeois-idealistic philosophy. This circumstance is the main, fundamental reason for the ideological crisis in the modern theory of physics.
And the resolution of this fundamental ideological crisis is found within the framework of the philosophy of dialectical materialism. The transition of physics (TMP) to the philosophical foundation of dialectical materialism, the recognition of the natural fact that “the content of elementary particles is “pure” concrete matter of nature”, as well as the consequences of this fact - this is the only way out of the modern scientific (physics and natural science) crisis. And TN naturally shows how to get out of this crisis.
As for the question of the direction of time. Here it is necessary to say the following. Within the framework of TN it is established that the quantum of length (EUL) is not a constant value. It is a value increasing with time. And the quantum of length (EUL) is at the same time the diameter of a grain of matter. The diameter of a grain of matter increases with time. It is this factor that determines the direction of time. The “arrow of time” indicates the direction of increase of the diameter of a grain of matter or quantum of length (EUL).
