We cannot be sure whether random events are purely blind or subtly guided by external universes.

If universes are completely separate, then no observation will ever reveal them.

If there is even the tiniest bridge — a shared boundary, a leak in the plumbing — then, in principle, patterns in the randomness could let us map the hidden topology beyond.

So, like your faucet analogy, we must first determine:
Are we hearing only the noise of our own pipes, or is there a faint echo from a greater network?

I wonder if you'd be able to explain what distinguishes quantum biology from quantum chemistry? It strikes me that all positive evidence for quantum presented here are in reality talking about the latter, where quantum effects are standard. The only example which examines the physiological scale is quantum consciousness, but as you rightly point out this 'controversial'. This is perhaps putting it too mildly for a theory with precisely no evidence. The only functional and behavioural evidence at this scale is avian response to RF fields, but is this evidence for anything more than the already well attested magnetoreception theory? It provides no evidence that a quantum mechanism lies behind it.

I agree with the evolutionary conditional you present. If quantum effects provided a fitness advantage they would be selected for, but this presumes selection operates at a resolution where these effects can exist and be sufficiently robust to be reliably employed.
