It's been asked elsewhere, but I think it's worth repeating here: Why is it when occultists talk about these sorts of things they're branded as insane, but when someone with an advanced physics degree says precisely the same thing, they're branded as cutting edge theorists?

Major Tom:

The reason is that when occultists talk about them they usually include highly inaccurate information in them as well. In fact, from my experience, occultists take occult subjects and try to get physics topics to fit their models.

A good example is the way that occultists talk about higher dimensions. They will talk about dimensional densities, and how higher dimensions are better than lower ones. They then say that even physicists talk about a multidimensional universe. The truth is that although physicists talk about higher dimensions they are not talking about the same ones that occultists are, they are talking about dimensions that are compactified and require high energy physics experiments to probe them, such as being planned at the LHC at Cern.

The standards for occult belief are not those for science and because the occult has been so rife with fraud over the centuries, scientists shun any connection to the occult in most cases.

So there's your answer.

I'm happy, hope you're happy too...

Here is an easy way to organize a multi-verse. Wave-functions exist. Wave-functions interpenetrate every boson, fermions and space-time. In fact, the big bang of this universe and other universes is just an expansion from this central ocean of wave-functions.

To look at it another way, wave-functions are what some people call "spirit". All universes that explode into existence are tied to spirit, what some people might call God.

Since consciousness is the one thing that physics can't explain, we can make it a fundamental characteristic of spirit. Then, when we die, our physical body falls away (like the leaves on a tree fall away in Autumn). There is no mathematical description of love. Yet that is exactly what we experience when we die (or have a near death experience).

When we die, all that scientific cynicism dies with the physical body; true pure consciousness (the ability to witness) survives in spirit form.
