Quantum Informatics CDT Spring School
24th to 29th May 2026
Isle of Skye, Scotland
Dear All,
We are happy to announce the first ever edition of the Quantum Informatics CDT Spring School on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
The School is aimed at PhD students and Early Career Researchers in Quantum Informatics. We welcome applications from Master's students with the support of a supervisor, and, depending on availability, from academics.
The programme consists of the following courses:
Algorithmics and Complexity: To be confirmed
Causality: Prof Fay Dowker (Imperial College London)
Compilation and Resource Estimation: Dr Olivia Di Matteo (University of British Columbia)
Error Correction: Dr Armanda Quintavalle (Freie Universität Berlin)
Programming Languages: Prof Benoît Valiron (CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay)
Semantics: Dr Priyaa Srinivasan (Tallinna Tehnikaülikool)
Other activities planned include a mentoring session, an excursion, and time for socialising.
The registration fee of £550 covers return coach travel from Edinburgh to Skye, accommodation on Skye (shared twin rooms), all meals on site, and activities. We are currently seeking industry sponsorship and hope to lower the registration price accordingly.
The application deadline is 5th March 2026 (16:00 GMT). Selected applicants will receive an email by 13th March asking them to register. To apply, please visit our website. Additional information will be added to the website as it becomes available.
Should you have any questions, you can contact the organisers by emailing qicdtspringschool@gmail.com.
We look forward to seeing you in Scotland!
