If we refer to human-style subjective consciousness, AI can only achieve approximate simulated performance and will never obtain genuine human consciousness. The fundamental gap lies in the essential difference between humans and artificial systems:
Humans are organic living beings composed of biological tissues. We inherently have innate biological perceptions: pain, hunger, fatigue, emotional fluctuations, instinctive desires, and a continuous sense of self rooted in life and biological survival drives. All human subjective experience grows from organic life activity.
By contrast, large AI models are inorganic electronic operating systems built on hardware, without real life, biological sensation, or primitive survival instincts. All its responses, reasoning and emotional-like expressions are statistical fitting of massive human text and data, rather than internal subjective perception.
It can mimic the logic and language of conscious thinking, but there is no real inner subjective experience behind its output. Without organic life and biological sensory feedback, it cannot generate the identical consciousness that humans own.
