He does not change the QM, He changes how we think, reason and compute. So he goes beyond the actual computing with linear algebras, complex vector spaces, matrix , so he improves the visualizations, the compositions, the intuitions. It is about how we approach the symbols and how we see them and it is important. The Bloch sphere so is relevant in this case with the poles and links with qubits, so there is a relevant point because we turn the abstraction to geometry and I utilise this in my theory and these 3d spheres.Superpositions, phases, rotations,quantum gates........it is exactly what needs the QM to have this intuition inserted, and so the consciousness probably and knowledges. In his book quantum in pictures, he replaces furthermore the equations with diagrams and utilises wires , boxes, connections, so the systems have processings and interactions. So he improves the category theory in making it visual and compositional simply. The categories can be also utilised for the quantum computing in creating different domains even in having thre same structures. It gives better reasonings and a possible way universal with the spherical volumes. The relevamce also is that we can justmake error corrections easier with the manipulations of his diagrams instead of difficult algebra problems, so it is about interactions and not just algorythms and it is important. That permits to have possible quantum computation about transforming connected processes instead of manipulated equations.
