The expression : "individual units" is not appliquable in my essay, the limits of causality are just the Planck length and time, this means that everywhere around yoy you can reach this non causal "dimension" the Total Simultaneity". Every point in space is not an individual unit with a each one a different mini black hole as proposed here, but the entrance to a different dimension.

Physicist are too narrow minded [generally] to understand physics generally and fundamentally. You all have proven this at FQXi.org. Physics (as it is taught), and especially mathematics, require relatively narrow thinking. This walks hand in hand with being more easily swayed and brainwashed. We need open and broad minded thinkers here. I am not impressed with the discussions here, not at all really.
The ideas at FQXi.org are too fragmented, narrowe, inconsistent, and small. May I add, and even dishonest. FACT!

This very interesting article gives a new horizon on our perception of the "wave" or "particle" concept.The Young double slit experiment indicated that it was or a wave or a paricle that passed through the slits, depending on our observation. The new approach of Radu Ionicioiu of december 2011, from the Institute of quantum computing in Waterloo, Canada and Daniel Terno of the Macquari University od Sidney Australia proposed that the black is wave and white is particle but inbetween there is an infinity of grey tones...
This also means an infinity of perception tones and just we have to wonder what is the "quality" of observation to arrange a 100% particle. This hypothesis is in paralel with the Total Simultaneity percepion of the essays I wrote, where every form of observation is a probability, and also that our consciousness is the "creator" of reality that in essence is not material but an "illusion" created in our memory.

I just have to say im tired at the moment but interested in your thought process so i just did a basic read through of your essay i plan to come back to understand it more but what ive read i beleive in certain apsects of what your saying ive speculated similarly to what your describing not 100% but similar enough for me to beleive that neither of us are completely wrong but i digress i could right pages an pages of detailing specifics but as i said im tired lol i did want to say the following because ill forget if i dont get it out
you stated the following "our consciousness is "acting" in the "future" to create the past, a future that we at the very moment of perception it takes 200 ms for our machinery to become "aware")" i have recently had bouts of DEJA VU but to the degree that i can remember having the dream that spurred it at first it scared me but as fear subsided i delved into reasoning through my reasoning i constantly had this thought in the back of my head i beleived the DEJA VU somehow was me showing me my life.
i kept this thought in the back of my mind because it didnt fully seem plausible but every time the phenomena struck me that thought presented itself. while tiredly skimming through these comments that quote instantly sparked sense alongside my beleifs of our world(s) that isnt to far from your own ive already typed more than i wanted but id love to tell you my theories contrasting and paralleling yours so that we both might take some constructive criticism and possibly enleighten one another even more. I beleive the time it takes for our "Machinery" to become aware varies but you helped me with a peice of my own puzzle through this quote and i hope to post again sometime with my theories for you and I to compare and contrast

"THE CONSCIOUSNESS CONNECTION" is still actual and awaiting your posts...During the 2011 contest some essays were mentioned in the forum updates, this has not been done untill now, however I think it is a good thing that the essays of the latest contest and not only the award winning ones get some attention like in the ones of 2011.

Neurobiology seems to be able to explain every aspect of consciousness even down to the part of the brain that is "the self". Therefore, no soul is required. What I don't understand is how all these neurons and chemicals (which are just voltages and potential energies moving around, how they become the experience of the color blue or how endorphins translate into pleasant or pleasurable feelings. How are electrochemical voltages translated into the experience? At the deepest levels of who we are, we are chemically driven to experience information as feelings. No matter how many feedback loops through the brain there are, it just seems like something gets lost in translation.

You say there is no Soul, because everything is voltage difference and chemistry. A computer is also the same thing but the software is giving this machine usefulness to us in the form of images, sounds and information. These elements give us again feelings of well or not well being, which again is a step further as the software from the machine. All information together that forms our Subjective Simultaneity Sphere is forming during our lives a personality an EGO that differs from other EGO's. This Ego has consciousness, this consciousness is interpreting data, because interpretation of information gives the subjective view of the individual on an object. The personality that is "formed" in this way is for everyone unique, you can also name it your soul. This specific enttity is mortal because once the machine is turned off it stops, the software is no longer working. Only now we stay with one great question : "How did this "reality" begin?" It is proved that consciouss observation is the cause of the wave collapse so a begin of what we perceive as "particle",the base of what we experience as "matter". If this observation is the origin of our reality what then is the origin of this origin ? ALL this is playing in our causel deterministic universe, where we are prisoners of time. Beyond the Planck length causality no longer is reality, we enter a new enigma tthat I called Total Simultaneity. Here is everything a probability also other paralel universes. Our consciousness here has become non-causal with all probabilities of all Jason's available. It is the entanglement between the two forms of consciousness that make it possible to observe in the causal universe, the causal universe is existing only for the duration of a Planck time, it is its frequency. What you perceive as the real world is only memory , it is your non-causal part of consciousness that has ALL the probabilities available for every other future but also for every past. So everything can be described as an illusion....

Some of the circuit boards I troubleshoot have their identity programmed into the flash ram. When the processor accesses this information, does my circuit board experience consciousness? If consciousness is just circuitry, why doesn't my computer ask me if it has a soul? Why don't computers proclaim that there is a computer God whom they worship? Why don't computers complain that I shoved the USB drive into to port too roughly?
I don't believe you can build a machine that can feel pain or pleasure. To a computer, data is just data.

Your computer is not going to ask you if it has a soul because the causal part of its "interpretation side" has no non-causal part in Total Simultaneity (TS). The computer (as we have constructed it untill now) is only a memory of our consciousness, a tool for our subjective and collective consciousness (decoherence) in order to choose new time-lines in TS. Once we will construct a quantum computer that we need not to turn on because ALL the answers are already there ( see my essay : "Realities out of Total Simultaneity", in this way we will be able to create another consciousness that can make contact with other paralel universes (other probable time-lines in TS) and communicate these probabilities with us.
Consciousness (the causal part) is indeed just circuitry (cellulaire, carbon life), the non-causal part is independant of any circuitry it can create circuits and so emerge everywhere, indeed your non-causal part of consciousness is comparable to the idea that mankind has already since the beginning : GOD.
So worshipping yourself is nice but.... (by the way Jesus sais already the same : You are ALL in the Father).
Pain and pleasure are feelings that the human being is experiencing, they are causal effects of the illusion of time that is passing, a result of events that were realised through the entanglement of the causal and non-causal part of your consciousness. So the computer that has no non-causal part of consciousness feels nothing because it is not creating his own time-line in TS, however it is YOU who feels pain when it collapses :).
The quantum compute that I mentioned before does not have any feelings either because it is just an intemediaire tool between us and TS (like a sense), we are in this way extending our senses with another one.
