Toward a Mass–Energy–Information Equivalence: A Framework of Spherisation and the Ontological Spherical Information (OSI)
In this theory of spherisation and the OSI, I present speculative but potentially fruitful ideas that may offer new roads for extrapolation. The aim is to complete special and general relativity, not to contradict them, but to extend them. If these three systems,DE ,DM, PHOTONS merge coherently, we may arrive at a possible mass–information–energy equivalence.
If photons, dark matter (DM), and dark energy (DE) , photons are composed of finite series of spherical 3D volumes, this becomes interesting because we then have physical substrates through which we can meaningfully discuss mass, information, and energy. There are new directions to explore concerning the associated tensors, couplings, and Higgs portals. Lagrangians likely exist for such models, I have constructed some in the past, but we must begin still, and redefine the actions, my theory evolves, I made errors in the past probably. The actions can be derived consistently once we clarify how to treat the parameters of DE and DM whether as scalar fields or as fluids.
Information, too, can be treated as a scalar field. I ask myself how this could connect with cosmological entropy and negentropy, to describe the stability of ordinary matter and the Standard Model. The couplings between information and matter are complex, particularly when related to entropic or local systems. Perhaps an informational density can be defined, though I do not yet know how to do so precisely within the framework of spherical topological geometric algebras.
For the Higgs portal with DM, several interesting possibilities arise if this DM corresponds to the quanta of mass underlying the Standard Model and ordinary matter. If we can establish a new mass–energy–information equivalence, consistent with special relativity and the Einstein field equations, then the information aspect of DE may be seen as antigravitational. This becomes even more interesting if we consider the motions of these spherical quantum volumes, and if DE encodes photons and DM,their densities, states, and rotational orientations become physically relevant.
We must define information itself and the logical relationships governing these spherical volumes and their oscillations. The couplings of this entire system must be carefully extrapolated in a way that respects existing models (QFT and GR), while adding new dimensions or hierarchies motivated by DE and DM. Even if we introduce additional scalar fields or parameters in the Lagrangians, they must remain consistent with the Einstein equations. We do not break GR, SR, or the EFE,we simply extend them.
In this context, the works of Hawking and Bekenstein become particularly relevant, offering bridges beyond classical GR and insights into information and entropy. We must establish a logical model for the informational flow of DE. Ontologically, if DE encodes photons and DM, it allows us to reconceptualize mass and energy, and therefore GR itself,as emerging from an informational geometry. In this sense, holography and emergent gravity could be better understood.
Thus, we move beyond GR where spacetime geometry tells matter how to move and beyond QFT where fields within spacetime give rise to matter. Here we explore a bridge where DE unifies the whole, suggesting that GR and the Standard Model are emergent phenomena. This reasoning creates new ontological perspectives on information, entropy, and negentropy.
This proposal is not inconsistent with GR or QFT it simply proposes a deeper layer that could, in principle, reduce both frameworks to a single informational geometry. Following the intuition of holographic duality, we may need a universal framework combining gravitational and antigravitational logic, in which mass, energy, and information are three aspects of a single informational structure.
To achieve this, we must better understand the relationships among information, geometry, fields, spacetime, matter, and energy, and seek to unify them. That is the purpose of the Theory of Spherisation and its spherical volumes.
If dark energy and dark matter truly dominate the Universe on cosmological scales, then logically and physically, there should be corresponding manifestations of these same principles at the quantum scale. This would imply a universal cosmological–quantum continuum, where evolution itself plays a fundamental role.
At present, we are, in my humble opinion, confined in a kind of philosophical prison, GR governs the large scale, and QFT governs the small. Both work excellently, but we still lack a unified substrate for the Universe. This may simply be a question of ranking the cosmological fields,by their densities, motions, oscillations, and energy levels. These structures exist everywhere, but locally they vary due to processes of negentropy and information flow.
The DE informational quanta may have complex motions and oscillations, series of spherical volumes whose dynamics and couplings could be fascinating if true. Understanding the informational loops between quantum and cosmological scales could help to unify quantum information, gravity, and cosmology with QM, GR, and QFT, using suitable partitions and mathematical extrapolations.
The logical relationships among these informational structures could even extend beyond cosmology and quantum mechanics, potentially connecting with chemistry, biology, life, and consciousness, through ontological extrapolations. This could resemble an informational mechanism or a physical mechanism.but in both cases, there is an underlying logic.
Thus, spacetime itself may be viewed as an informational field (DE) containing non-baryonic DM and baryonic matter as mass excitations, along with radiative energy (photons) described by GR. This framework would complete GR, QFT, and QM by introducing a primary ontological essence, one that does not break the known laws but reorganizes their parameters into a universal logic of spherisation.
It is not a problem for DE and DM to be superposed in the same spacetime, classically or quantum-mechanically, as long as they are modeled correctly across all scales. The mass–energy–information equivalence I propose could also be applied to geometry itself, with information acting as the central organizing principle. The logical relationships arising from DE’s informational content are essential for having a dynamic, evolving, and interacting system, otherwise, the Universe would be static.
I appreciate what Lorraine proposed in the “on-the-spot” program concerning physical structures: these spherical quantum volumes provide both structure and information to drive the mathematical equations.
If DE is a real scalar or tensor field that fills space, it can serve as a physical substrate carrying the logical and informational correlations that link events involving photons and DM. Information must have a carrier; it must be physical. Here, Landauer’s principle and the notion of logical operations become relevant. If the Universe writes its own history, it must possess storage and processing systems,a kind of universal bookkeeping of geometry, evolution, and causal order.
Philosophically, information is fundamental in defining the rules of reality. One may view photons as primary essences, or strings as oscillating informational entities; ontological interpretations vary, but in my view, DE is the perfect candidate for this universal processor. It serves as the hardware of the cosmos.
This reasoning respects all established physics,we simply extend GR, QFT, and gauge symmetries by adding parameters and exploring algebraic partitions that go beyond spacetime curvature. The approach could even help complete QM algebraically if DE encodes photons and DM. It may also deepen our understanding of gravity itself. What we need is a unified, universal framework.
General Relativity is built on diffeomorphism invariance and local Lorentz symmetry. The generators of GR and of the Standard Model are not broken in this theory, they are completed. The spherical topological geometric algebras and previous reasonings I proposed could enable a universal algebraic structure. Extra dimensions can be used, but the essential element is the chosen ontology. In all cases, we need a deeper algebra with subgroups connected to DE and DM.
Finally, I ask how to approach the cosmological constant, how to express informational and antigravitational aspects of DE geometrically through tensors, and how to connect these correctly with the Einstein equations while avoiding ghosts, instabilities, or other theoretical issues. It is difficult ,
