Hi Amrit,

You can find my views expressed under the article, "The Quantum Clock-Maker Investigating Covid-19, Causality, and the trouble with AI."

I want to say YES! It's not Time, it's Motion.

A 3 dimensional cube is stationary, motion is the next necessary step for describing the universe. Motion is visible as the 4th dimension (if we want to call it a dimension) not time.

From this, as I see it, space-time would actually be space-motion.

But motion is usually the motion of mass and so we come to the possibility that motion-space-mass are a single cohesive unit.

And from this a surprisingly simple, new theory that brings together the expanding universe, gravity, quantum, Newtonian physics and relativity.

Hi S. David Coleman,

We seem to agree that we don`t have time, we do have motion.

It`s my view, that the Earth`s rotational motion is the fundamental physical mechanism causing our confusion about the nature of time.

Hi, we can tell indeed that the motions permit this duration but we must recognise that we have changes and that the evolution seesm essential, yesterday is different than today and different that tomorrow, the time is just a parameter that we have invencted to better understand the interactions and the durations. It is not a force or a particle indeed but we can utilise it in fact in our sciences. The carbon 14 for example proves that this time that we have invented is real in function of course of observations relativelly speaking. If this time didn t exist with the motions, we could not even speak here on face book and we had not a life with a past, a present and a future, we born, we live , we die....

Hi S. David Coleman,

It`s my contention that time does not exist as a real thing, but only as a measurement system.

The Earth`s rotational motion creates a continuously changing environment that repeats the cycle every 24 hours. We use the motion to inform our clocks.

Our world provides every indication that time is passing.

Hi Jim, David, Amrit,

I agree in the sense that this time is a kind of dimension correlated with the motions. Now it becomes very philosophical too about the origin of our universe and how we can consider this time correlated with the multiple dimensions due to our motions and observations but also due to this eternity maybe too ontologically speaking. If e take our newtonian mechanics, or the GR or the minkowski spacetime or the strings or my 3D spheres and the 3 spacetimes, or others we have different intepretations in function of measurements and observations. Max Tegmark has developped some ideas about this in explaining the effects if we consider several dimensions of time with the partial differential equations,I agree with him in the sense that if we had several dimensions, the unstability d be a reality at all scales. That implies even deep problems thermodynamical and entropical. All this imply that the philosophy and the physics , sciences and maths can converge in respecting one dimension of time correlated with the motions and rotations oscillations for me of 3D quantum and cosmological spheres, where the main parameter is a duration , an evolution for the changes and variables. All this imply an important link considering the informations, and main codes , we need so a chief orchestra giving these variables and achanges due to this evolution and the space vacuum seems the key.

Hi Steve,

I don`t speculate that time is "a kind of dimension correlated with the motions."

If I am to be philosophical about the nature of time, I would say there is no such thing, there is only motion.

I think it is thus far impossible to show that time exists or that it does not exist (as something other than our own construct). To me, everything leans toward time not existing, except for our own internal sense of it.

Yes the motion of the earth, also everything else that is in motion which continuously effects everything else. The most interesting thing I've bumped into recently is quantum motion, which is extreme as far as I can tell.

As I see it quantum motion (the compellation of many tiny motions) is AS INVISIBLE, AS UBIQUTOUS AND AS STEADY AS OUR SENSE OF TIME IS.

Hi Jim, yes I understand what you mean, in fact it is just what a clock reads , it is a measurement. In physics we consider it like a scalar foundamental quantity . And this parameter permits simply to understand the motions and so the energies , the fields, the particvles. You know in all the concepts considered in physics like the galilei works or newton or einstein, or in thermodynamics, in quantum mechanics, in electromagnetism dynamics,in cosmology....this time is taken into account.

If for example you take the quantum mechanics and the quaternions , this time is relevant with this tool of Hamilton because it permits to have a better understanding of rotations. In fact without time we have no rotation nor motion. It is a quantity utilised in physics, a scalar.

    Hi Steve,

Why think in terms of dimensions? In my perspective, there are no such things as dimensions, time wise, or whatever?

    Hi S. David Coleman,

We can however, imagine what would happen if the Earth did not rotate? A lifetime of looking at glacially paced stars crossing an inky black sky would not equip us for appreciating the luxury of wearing a watch.

Living on the bright side and not knowing what the Moon or Stars looked like? Would we yearn to own a watch? Would it be hip to own a watch when the Sun didn`t move forever?

Hello Jim, no dimension , no time ? so lol we don t exist in fact ? the dimensions are for me reals , we live I believe in a pure 3D at all scales and we have invented tools in maths like the other dimensions, but only the 3D exists at my opinion and the motions rotations and this emergent time correlated with these motions simply.

    Hi Jim,

I think the same about the extradimensions. It is like a fashion now inside the theoretical sciences community, it is due mainly to strings , Mtheory, Superstrings or the geonetrodynamics with points and with the geometrical algebras, they consider all now in majority that we have extradimensions, it is also due to their philosophy considering only the photons and strings or ppoints inside in 1D oscillating vibrating connected with a 1D cosmic field of this GR. So with the maths of strings they have extrapolated 10d, 11d,26d .

I don t understand to be frank why this fashion, maybe they are in a prison due to these photons and GR alone and they believe that a kind of god or a mathematical accident creates the topologies , geometries with these fields and extradimensions. Personally I have found enormous ontological and philosophical rpoblems considering this philosophy. In fact these tools in maths about the extradimensiobns are just tools, like we have create the geometry in 2D with the squares, triangles.... they permit to better create architectures or others but the universe and our reality is always in a pure 3D , so I consider these extradimensions too like simply tools wich are not really reals in our pure 3D. Now they have difficulties these thinkers to return at this old school of our pure 3D and the motions of particles. Clifford, Lie, Hopf are relevant tools for our quantum fields, the problem is not there, the problem is to generalise this GR and geom alg and fields like the cause of our quantum mechanics at my humble opinion. I beleive strongly that the fields are emergent, not the particles wich are in a superfluidity and permit the emergent baryonic matter.

But these thinkers have learnt a lot at the universities and the strings are teached even for their PhD it is very odd because they are an assumption generally and philosophically speaking.

They cannot change their lines of reasoning now, they are persuaded and endoctrinated I must say, Einstein and Witten have created a philosophical prison and now they turn in round inside , I am a problem with my theory but that could converge in unifying the DE, the DM, the GR, the QM, the QFT, the strings and these pure 3D spheres, but they don t recognise this due to this endoctrination and the vanity. Regards, friendly

    Hi Steve,

Why look for non-existent problems? For what reason should time exist? Earthly rotation provides an explanation.

Personally Jim, I am not very interested to search problems with this time in the sense that I consider it like just a scalar , a quantity and wich is irreversible . I agree with you in the sense that in fact it does not really exist, so the thinkers focused on the time in trying to check it or in thinking that we can travel in time for me loose their time lol ironically speaking. There is nothing of odd about a thing simply correlated indeed with the motions like a duration of evolution.

What if we lived on the dark side of the Moon? We would never see the Sun.

We would see a black sky of stars. We would always in the dark!

Would we still cling a firm belief in time as some kind of real thing?

I wonder if we would believe in extra-dimensions?

Hi Jim, 'dark side' is really a misnomer. It means obscured or hidden from sight, or unknown rather than literally permanently dark. Far side is a better name. Dark side of the moon : )

    Hi Georgina,

Or we could call it the Cold Side? It certainly is at minus 173 degrees Celsius, which is minus 280 degrees Fahrenheit!

On the Hot Side it`s plus 127 degrees Celsius, which is plus 260 Fahrenheit!
