Fqxi is a free platform and it is well like this. The world is like it is , it is sick and it is like this. We know the global system and the competition and this vanity. It is everywhere. For the sciences community and in maths and physics, the universities and foundations work in private circles and the scientists are obliged to publish , there is a pressure on them but the systems , more this vanity like I told,. It is rare now to have good papers , even from the known scientists because it is like this, it is not easy now to find innovant relevant innovative papers. Bob Coecke, yes for me, has been innovative, I even invite people to read his works and his book Quantum in pictures. Another point also is that a few numbers are able to be general philosophically, mathematically, physically without asserting their extrapolations. The majority repeats what they have learnt at university, they are good in details but it lacks this generality to be creative and innovative because the philosophy also is essential. The high level discussions, it is for the vanitious, because the most important is this generality and even good scientists skilling in details cannot.
Don't forget what Feynmann told, never confound intelligence and education, you can have a Phd and still be an idiot, I like Feynmann ,he was relevant generally. The modern science dear anonymous ,and don't forget the respect is to put your real name, is about business, vanity and sometimes we have a relevant general paper that is humble and relevant. The expectations are realistic about the fact to be aware of all this and in what world we live .
That is why I live in the forest in a farm without really expecting nothing from the global system. Contemplate a bee on a flower,abserve this nature,its lws, try to measure it when you can, make correlations, develop general ideas, study in sorting the good works, nourish your minds with relevant papers and works, love what you are able to love with sincerity,evolve because it seems fundamental , there you shall expect more than your actual expectations.
There is a trap of hyper specialization also for the sciences and it implies problems for thism ontology and philosophy and when we add this vanity, so we undertand what I told about the world and the competition. We can never assert assumptions, it is essential. The true insight for me requires to look at the architecture as a whole. There are very relevant professionals but it is rare, the generality never comes from the sky, you must search answers in sciences, maths, philosophy,and it is a long road, the independant researchs, sincere, deep, humble,...seem the key.
It is better than the bureaucratic researchs. We observe this nature, the natural patterns and this nature does not care about the institutional, academic , human titles. The nature is complex, elegant, universal and we try to understand it with this said humility that a few numbers have. The universal altruism is rare and does not fall from the sky like I told, it is a deep researchs in many centers of interestcs, and this generality is fundamentals. I am not vanitious and I am not a professional and I am not the best in the details, but I believe that what I tell is not false. It is this intellectual humility wich seem important also.
