Few people seem to understand the difference between voltages on the one hand, and binary digits on the other hand, where binary digits are a manmade concept which human beings have imposed over the top of the voltages in computers/ AIs.
There is a voltage range in computers/ AIs, and a higher voltage could be pre-assigned the binary digit one concept OR the binary digit zero concept, while the lower voltage would then be pre-assigned the other binary digit concept, i.e. zero or one.
From the “point of view of the computer” (a non-existent point of view) it is all voltages, but from the point of view of human beings it is also all voltages, but with a concept or interpretation imposed over the top of the individual voltages, and also with a concept or interpretation imposed over the top of the arrays and arrangements of voltages.
Once and for all, let’s stop this nonsense about computers/ AIs having the ability to know about the human interpretations that have been imposed over the top of the individual voltages, or computers/ AIs having the ability to know about the human interpretations that have been imposed over the top of the arrays and arrangements of voltages.
Unfortunately, people, including people who should know better, look at the superficial appearances/ outputs of the computers/ AIs and get fooled into believing that computers/ AIs are conscious of what interpretations and meanings human beings have imposed over the voltages.
Clearly, people, including people who should know better, are easily fooled.
And let’s face it, many so-called “leaders” and “authorities”, in many different fields including philosophy and science, ARE trying to claim that computers/AIs are pre-existing entities that know all about, or can work out for themselves, the human interpretations of the voltages.
